### Recipe Details Serves 6-8. ### Ingredients - [ ] 1 pound ziti or rigatoni pasta - [ ] double recipe of [[simple red sauce]] - [ ] 12 ounces whole-milk ricotta cheese, [[whole-milk ricotta|home made]] or store bought - [ ] 1 ½ cups cups of grated parmesan cheese (about 3 ounces) - [ ] 1 cup heavy cream - [ ] 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley - [ ] 3 tablespoons minced fresh basil - [ ] 1 pound whole-milk mozzarella cheese - [ ] salt and peppers - [ ] red pepper flakes (optional) ### Directions 1. If you haven't already, prepare your [[simple red sauce|red sauce]] and [[whole-milk ricotta|ricotta]] in advance. 2. In a large bowl, cover pasta with hot salted water. Let sit for 30 minutes. Drain. Meanwhile, set your oven to 400ºF. 3. Pour half of the red sauce into a large pot/bowl, add the ricotta, cream, half of the parmesan, and half of the parsley and basil. Stir. Add the soaked pasta and half of the mozzarella cubes. Stir. Transfer to 13x9inch baking dish and top with the remaining red sauce and mozzarella. 4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. 5. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until the cheese is beginning to brown. 6.
