### Recipe Details Serves 6-8. ### Ingredients - [ ] 1 pound spaghettini pasta - [ ] 1 pound lean ground beef - [ ] olive oil, to cover bottom of pot - [ ] 1 medium onion, finely diced - [ ] red pepper flakes, to taste - [ ] 1 cup mushrooms, finely diced - [ ] 4 cloves garlic, minced - [ ] 2 28 oz cans whole peeled tomatoes, blended/minced - [ ] 2 tbsp ground cinnamon - [ ] 2 tbsp dried or fresh mint, minced - [ ] 1 tbsp dried oregano - [ ] salt and pepper to taste - [ ] cheese for topping ### Directions 1. In a pan cook the ground beef over low heat, breaking it up as it cooks 2. In a separate pot, add olive oil and onions, cooking until soft 3. Add red peppers flakes, mushrooms, and garlic, cooking until fragrant 4. Add blended tomatoes then cinnamon, mint, oregano, and salt and pepper 5. Bring to a simmer, reduce to low, and let cook slowly for at least 30 minutes - ideally closer to 3 hours - stirring occasionally 6.
